 | | Mission Trip :: To the Dine' |  |  | | "Piggy back rides are us!" | For the third year, the church will be sending a group to work alongside the Navajo people in New Mexico. The Navajo refer to themselves as the Dine' (din-eh) meaning "the people". This year's team of 18 is supported entirely by the donations and prayers of those who share in the greater mission of the church. Our work this year will involve adding a 12' by 20' addition on the home of a Navajo family, serving a local Navajo church with their summer outreach program and assisting in several updates to the sponsoring mission, Christ for All Nations.

Friday saw the completion of the drywall at Janette's, installation of a few doors at the mission and the dedication of the Lopez home addition.

Day 7, Drywall, Projects and BBQ 6/24/2006 10:15 PM
Day 7 of the trip provided us the opportunity to install drywall into the addition we had done last year. The rest of the team did a variety of other projects around the mission, including adding a tile mosaic to the base of the cross.
That night we had a late dinner of BBQ chicken, hamburgers and hotdogs...yum, yum.

Day 6, A Big Day 6/23/2006 11:55 PM
The team's sixth day found the Lopez home addition being completed and tremendous progress made on the mission grounds interior painting and maintenance items. But the day ended with a big surprise for Lazelle, Director of Christ for All Nations Mission.

After an early breakfast at the Village Inn, a few of us settled down on a route for this year's trip, and as always added a few more items onto the, "we should also remember to bring" list!
