 | | What is RSS | | RSS stands for "real simple syndication" and it is a way to subscribe to website content without having to routinely manually visit the website to check for updates. Some websites (or webpages) are set to "push out" content from their site so that visitors can "subscribe" to the content automatically. RSS allows desktop
"rss-aware" programs or "news aggregators" to capture news-type items
from any website that provides rss feeds. Each time the site updates or adds to its content, that information can be delivered to a newsreader program. Several web browsers, including Safari and Firefox support RSS. Many dedicated "news reader" programs are also available for collecting RSS "feeds."
Pages on our site with the
xml-rss logo
provide feeds for the items on that page. Simply drag the logo into your news reader or RSS enabled browser to subscribe. Current and new
items added to these pages are made available to your RSS or news
reader program.
